August 22 &23, 2009 Beginning several years ago, we started "slowing down" a bit -- eliminating underproductive shows and migrating to the web. We still maintain the inventory and the large number of contacts that we have developed over the years. We have no intention of removing opal from our lives; however, we do tire of lifting, toting, and hauling everything around to shows -- even though our friends do help as much as possible. Our interests in the Harricks Queensland Boulder opal mine in Queensland Australia, wayout in the outback. While we have never done any of the hard labor involved in the mine, we remain interested and invested. Perhaps we willl get the Hayricks reopened within a year. We live in hope; however, mining is very expensive and dangerous. Our intention is to liquidate some our prized specimens. If you have an interest, please contact us. We find that there has never been a reversal in opal prices; hence, our investment has been a good one. We thank you all for your continuing support and interested in our business and the stories we have to tell. Thank you, each and every one of you. |
