Art Clay Silver Level I Certification

FEBRUARY 1, 2, 3, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Goals: YOU WILL
  1. Complete Level One projects in 3 days.
  2. Develop appropriate techniques & skills in order to be an effective certified Art Clay Silver instructor.
  3. Certification allows you to teach introductory and specialty Art Clay classes and qualify for professional company privileges.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Limited to 5 participants, deadline January 15. Eight hours of class time with a short lunch break.

  4. Senior certification is based upon demonstration of advanced skills and techniques.
  5. Level One Certification is REQUIRED.

  1. Explore 2 methods of bezel setting, a flat setting (like a pendant) and on a ring.
  2. Two pieces will be successfully completed in the workshop.
  3. Intermediate level of metal clay skills required.

  1. Finish a stone face or know why you didn't.
  2. Learn to make cutting plans for opal.
  3. Learn and practice basic cabbing techniques.
  4. Identify Opal types and classifications.
  5. Be introduced to tough cutting, sculpting, and polishing challenges.
  6. Explore, as time allows, valuation, selection of opal rough and options for making more money with opal.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Limited to 6 participants, deadline January 15.Seven and a half hours of class time with a short lunch break.

  4. Learn Opal types for carving and sculpting.
  5. Be introduced to tough cutting, sculpting, and polishing challenges.
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Limited to 6 participants, deadline January 15. Seven and a half hours of class time with a short lunch BREAK.
