Gauntlet Constructed in 22k and 14k Yellow Gold set with Black Boulder Opals, Ruby and inlaid with Black Jade, Chrysoprase, Opal and Garnet.
Awed by the singular beauty of the Black Boulder Opals from the Hayricks mine while desolate from the crises and conflicts of our time, I felt compelled to formulate my feelings through this figuration of the gauntlet' a challenge unto myself. Historically, the cuff was worn as part of the armor to protect the hand. Through its utilization, I have set the stage in which to extol the virtue and valor of those who in rising above adversity are willing to fight and conceivably give their lives in the name of our protection.
